“This thing is trying to eat my arm…I’m kinda freaking out.”
For the second time in a week, Jimmy Kimmel Live featured a segment about marijuana. This time, it featured WeedMapsTV’s very own commercial for the Autospense, the marijuana vending machine that we told you about earlier this week. Being a late night television show and being Jimmy Kimmel, the machine was naturally poked fun at a bit, but the overall message seemed to be: this device is pretty damn cool. All in all, the increased attention to medicinal marijuana by mainstream news outlets and entertainment can only be a good thing. All press, as they say, is good press.

The world’s premiere medical marijuana competition, convention, and celebration is coming to Denver just in time for 4/20 weekend. Yes, it’s the High Times Medical Cannabis Cup, taking place at the Exdo Event Center on April 21st and 22nd.
This event features an expo hall full of booths showcasing the best in medical marijuana products and accessories, as well as panels and seminars with leaders in the medical marijuana movement, including doctors, researchers, growers, and activists.
But, the event is truly a party celebrating the medical marijuana industry. From musical guests, including Barrington Levy and MellowHype, to the closing night Cannabis Cup awards ceremony, the High Times Medical Cannabis Cup is the Mecca of marijuana events for all levels of weed enthusiast.
To make things even better, WeedMaps is hosting a private 2500 square foot VIP party that is sure to be one of the highlights of the weekend. This huge function will feature a live DJ spinning tunes in a private lounge area which includes couches, tables, TVs, and Xbox’s, while surrounded by some of the lovely ladies of the Cannabis Cup. Not a bad way to spend your afternoon!
Inside the WeedMaps patient lounge, we will be giving away two iPads and a number of other prizes to some of our lucky readers. Plus, this VIP event is totally free to all event attendees. All you have to do is register for WeedMaps or be a registered user already (link to registration page: ).
WeedMaps is also hooking you up with discounted tickets to the Cup. All you have to do is purchase tickets here using the promo code “wmaps” and you will receive 30% off your VIP or GA tickets. We recommend going with the VIP pass, as that will gain you access to some of the additional special functions that High Times is putting on.

Ranked by number of grams sold, these are the 25 most popular medical marijuana strains for March. While Blue Dream again reaped the most money, more individual grams of Sour Diesel were purchased by medical marijuana patients last month. All in all, it appears that these two Sativas have separated themselves from the pack, as no other strain topped the $100,000 mark.
However, if you account for all the varieties of OG Kush that proliferate the shelves of collectives, odds are that the popular (especially in California) Indica dominant strain would be making a play for top honors. Additionally, the biggest riser this month was Durban Poison while Green Crack suffered the biggest drop in sales. As you can see, the medical marijuana industry is thriving in the face of recent adversity:

Most casual smokers are unaware about many of the medicinal properties of marijuana. Below is a chart that describes the 11 cannabinoids and the ways which medical marijuana patients can and benefit from them:
This WeedMaps and SC Labs poster was on display at the Oaksterdam protests in San Francisco yesterday. If federal authorities actually took the time to study this poster, do you think they’d still use brute force to shut down dispensaries and a peaceful place of education?
Here are the 10 most frequently purchased strains of medical marijuana from legal dispensaries in February. This month, Kong made an exponential jump into the Top 10 while Razzle Dazzle saw its stock tumble. The popular Sativa Blue Dream continues to reign supreme while OG Kush lurks in the shadows.
